Goalkeeper Štěch signed in West Ham first professional contract

His first professional contract signed in English club West Ham United Czech football goalkeeper Marek Štěch. 18-year-old goalkeeper, who grew up in Sparta, spent last two years in youth centre of London club. Now is he already to be found in professional team, where awaits him post of number two for the upcoming season.

About the signature of five-year contract informed player's agent Martin Říha from company MLM Sport Management.

Štěch left to England two years ago with vision that he will prepare in junior selections of West Ham for a chance which he could get from his fellow, coach of goalkeepers Luďka Mikloška. The opportunity he can experience now. "He has boarded to the preparation and he will get the chance to fight for post number two in our club,“ introduced Říha, who has signed the contract with the player on Thursday’s evening in London. Štěch is ranked among biggest Czech goalkeeper talents and many experts predict him that he could tie up his path on Petr Čech.

A year ago he was announced as the best Czech footballer in category younger juvenils for year 2006.

By the age goes Štěch in current nineteen’s, which waits in upcoming days European championship on home ground, however in the line-up is he missing. Not long ago has he cured after a several-month's-long duration injury.
